What We Do
The River Region Food Policy Council supports:
- the promotion of food policies that will increase access to fresh, healthy food
- research and public listening sessions for new policy ideas
- the development of urban agriculture zoning codes, including those which allow produce sales from home gardens
- policies that support the development of community kitchens for processing home-grown and community-grown produce
- City Development Department incentives for new grocery stores in food insecure areas
