Akeem Jamal is the vice president of Communications & Government Affairs at Roosevelt Island. He is also a career advisor and publishing house owner. Before joining Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation, he worked for the City of New York as an assistant to the Mayor and as a speechwriter for Governor David Paterson. Akeem currently lives in Astoria, Queens, with his family.
