Brandon Silverstein, the music industry executive behind multiple chart-topping hits and artist careers, has been appointed CEO of Avex Music Group, the newly consolidated American arm of Japanese entertainment giant Avex.

Announced on March 25, 2025, the appointment marks a significant career milestone for Silverstein, who founded S10 Entertainment in 2017 and has since built it into a formidable music industry presence.

Silverstein’s early vision for S10 as a “dynamic and full-service entity” encompassing management, publishing, and production has translated into impressive results: 22 global #1 hits, 50 billion streams, and a management roster including Myke Towers, Big Sean, and Madison Bailey.

His industry recognition includes appearances on Billboard’s “Power 100,” “40 Under 40,” and “Latin Power” lists, as well as Forbes’ “30 Under 30” and Variety’s “New Leaders.”

The partnership with Avex began in 2020 when Silverstein formed S10 Publishing as a joint venture with the Japanese company. Their successful collaboration led to Avex’s strategic investment in S10 Entertainment in May 2024, culminating in this appointment and Avex’s complete acquisition of the S10 Publishing catalog.

In his new role, Silverstein will oversee all Avex Music Group operations while maintaining leadership of S10 Management and continuing to independently own S10 Records.

“Katsumi Kuroiwa and the entire team at Avex have been exceptional partners to me,” said Silverstein. “My mandate is to build Avex Music Group into a dynamic, full-service music company that creates global opportunities for our creative community.”

With offices in Los Angeles and New York, and partnerships with industry leaders like JAY-Z and Roc Nation, Silverstein is positioned to significantly expand Avex’s American presence while creating new avenues for artists and songwriters.
